    The Mets have interest in pitchers Armando Galarraga and Victor Garate , who have offers from Asian ballclubs, ESPN New York reports. Galarraga made 23 Triple-A starts between two organizations last season, going 6-8 with a 3.64 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 83:46 K:BB ratio in 121 innings with Louisville and Colorado Springs. Garate made 19 appearances (18 starts) in the Mexican League, going 9-4 with a 3.78 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 112:40 K:BB ratio in 100 innings.

    Rockies starting pitcher Armando Galarraga suffered a forearm strain during a start for Triple-A Colorado Springs Sunday, according to The Denver Post. Galarraga had allowed one run on two hits in three innings during his Colorado Springs debut before leaving the game. He is expected to miss at least one start.
