    Blue Jays left-handed relief pitcher Juan Perez is expected to head to the team's spring training complex in Dunedin Monday, the National Post reports. Perez will undergo an MRI on his injured elbow after he suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament Friday. The 34-year-old Perez appears likely to need Tommy John surgery to correct his injury. Should that be the case, he would likely be out until at least August of next season and possibly longer.

    The Blue Jays placed reliever Juan Perez on the 60-day disabled list with an elbow injury, the National Post reports Saturday. Perez suffered a torn UCL in his elbow. Perez has a 1-2 record with a 3.69 ERA over 19 appearances for the Blue Jays this season. Perez gave up five runs in his last outing Friday against Oakland over 1 2/3 innings. He's allowed seven runs over his last two appearances spanning 3 2/3 frames.
