Derrek Lee sticking to retirement
Yahoo! Sports reports that first baseman Derrek Lee has decided to stay retired. The New York Yankees had previously reached out to Lee in the wake of an injury to Mark Teixeira, but Lee turned down the team's offer.
Teixeira is expected to miss 8-to-10 weeks of action. Lee, who sat out the 2012 season, has a .281/.365/.495 career line with 331 home runs in 7,963 plate appearances.
