76ers' Jahlil Okafor: Uncertain to play Monday vs. Magic
Coach Brett Brown said that he wasn't sure if Okafor (knee) would travel with the team to Orlando for Monday's game against the Magic, Tom Moore of the Bucks County Courier Times reports.
Okafor started at center in Sunday's 105-99 win over the Celtics, but ended up turning in four points (2-4 FG) and one rebound in only 12 minutes before he was pulled from the contest with a sore right knee. Considering that the injury is to the same knee required surgery last spring and resulted in Okafor facing minutes restrictions to begin the season, it wouldn't be surprising if the 76ers erred on the side of caution and kept the second-year big man out Monday. Richaun Holmes, who supplied eight points, seven boards, five assists, four blocks and two steals in 29 minutes off the bench Sunday, would likely enter the starting lineup in place of Okafor in such a scenario.
