76ers' Timothe Luwawu: Assigned to D-League

Luwawu was assigned Monday to the D-League's Delaware 87ers, Derek Bodner of Philly Mag reports.

Coach Brett Brown indicated prior to the season that Luwawu was expected to see a bunch of time in the D-League during his rookie campaign, so it comes as no surprise he's been sent down for his second stint of the season on Monday. Luwawu has seen action in nine of the Sixers' 12 games this season, but has averaged just 5.1 minutes, so he'll use this trip to Delaware as an opportunity to see extended minutes.
