Barron signed a training camp deal with the Hawks on Friday, Marc J. Spears of Yahoo Sports reports. The Hawks had an opening on their roster following the retirement of Jason Richardson, so Barron will get a chance to show if he's got anything left in the tank. The 34-year-old center played in 16 games with the Suns last season after playing on multiple 10-day contracts, finishing with averages of 2.0 points, 1.8 rebounds, 0.3 assists and 0.1 blocks over nine minutes per game. With Al Horford, Tiago Splitter and Mike Muscala all ahead of him on the depth chart, Barron may have a tough time making the final roster. Even if he makes the team, he likely won't have much of a fantasy impact.
