Grant scored 12 points (3-9 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 5-6 FT), three assists and one rebound across 17 minutes in Monday's 108-104 preseason loss to the Hornets.

After coming over from the Knicks this summer in the Derrick Rose trade, Grant entered training camp seemingly in line to serve as the backup point guard to free-agent pickup Rajon Rondo. That no longer looks to be the case, however, as the Bulls' acquisition of Michael Carter-Williams over the weekend likely pushes Grant down to third on the depth chart at the position. Grant has scored well during the preseason, averaging 7.8 points on 48.2 shooting from the floor in his 16.0 minutes per game, but he's turned the ball over two or more times in four of his six appearances. The 24-year-old could struggle to hold down a rotation spot.
