Bulls' Robin Lopez: Blocks career-high eight shots
Lopez supplied 10 points (4-12 FG, 2-2 FT) to go with a career-high eight blocks, nine rebounds, one assist and one steal across 32 minutes in Wednesday's 96-90 win over the Lakers.
A little over a week earlier, Lopez made waves with a six-block game, but took his skills as a rim protector to even greater levels Tuesday. The surge in rejections has helped Lopez raise his season-long average to two per game, good for sixth in the league among qualifiers. In addition to the rising block totals, Lopez has also had the offense run through him more frequently, attempting at least 11 shots in eight of the last nine games while reaching double figures in the scoring column in all but one of those contests. However, he's shooting just 41.2 percent from the field during that span.
