Mickey was assigned to the D-League's Maine Red Claws on Tuesday.
The Red Claws qualified for the D-League playoffs, so Mickey figures to stay with the team until elimination, barring a glut of frontcourt injuries hitting the Celtics. The 21-year-old rookie hasn't been a major fixture with the NBA team for any stretch of the season, appearing in just 15 games and averaging 1.4 points and 0.9 rebounds over 3.6 minutes.
