Celtics GM Danny Ainge said that Olynyk (shoulder) has been put through tests recently, which revealed that the big man isn't quite ready for a return, Jay King of MassLive.com reports.

Olynyk was scheduled to visit a doctor last week, but that plan was tabled following the test results. If Olynyk starts to show improvement in the next couple of days, he could be sent in for a check-up, which would determine whether or not he'd be able to resume practicing in full. However, with Olynyk missing all of training camp and still awaiting clearance, it seems unlikely that he'll be available for the Celtics' regular-season opener Oct. 26 against the Hawks.
