Clippers' Brandon Bass: Double-doubles in Monday spot start
Bass compiled 12 points (4-9 FG, 4-4 FT), 10 rebounds, two assists and a steal over 37 minutes in Monday's 104-78 preseason loss to the Jazz.
The veteran got the start at the five with DeAndre Jordan sitting out for rest and performed admirably, turning in the second-best scoring total among the makeshift starting five. Bass has back-to-back double-digit scoring outings, shooting 50 percent (11-for-22) from the field over that span. He'll likely slot for 15-18 minutes off the bench behind Jordan to start the regular season, capping his overall upside.
