Clippers' Luc Mbah a Moute: Modest six-point effort Monday
Mbah a Moute collected six points (3-4 FG) and two rebounds over 23 minutes in Monday's 104-78 preseason loss to the Jazz.
Mbah a Moute remains locked in a battle for the starting small forward spot with fellow vets Wesley Johnson and Alan Anderson, but the former did little to distinguish himself off the bench Monday, while the latter received a DNP by coach's decision. The 30-year-old Mbah a Moute hasn't been spectacular by any means himself, but has shot well during the exhibition slate, with a 72.7 percent (8-for-11) success rate from the field. Given his defensive prowess, he looks to have the inside track for the job to open the season, as the Clippers won't require an inordinate offensive contribution from him given their scoring potential throughout the rest of the first unit.
