Clippers' Paul Pierce: Will start at power forward Tuesday

Pierce will draw the start at power forward for Tuesday's game against the Nets, Rowan Kavner of Clippers.com reports.

Pierce has spent the majority of this season on the end of the bench, basically acting as another member of the coaching staff instead of as an active player. He's seen the court just twice this season, but with Blake Griffin sitting out for rest, the Clippers will turn to their veteran to jump into the starting five. It's unlikely that Pierce will get a ton of minutes despite being with the top overall unit, as guys like Marreese Speights and Brandon Bass should help cover the additional playing time available as well.
