Heat's Dion Waiters: Out at least next three games

Waiters (groin) won't travel with the Heat on their upcoming three-game road trip, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Neither Waiters nor Justise Winslow (wrist) will make the trip, which begins Wednesday in Denver and concludes Sunday in Portland. That means that the earliest either player could return would be Dec. 6, when the Heat play host to the Knicks. Waiters had been playing through the groin issue for the last few games, but was held out of action Monday against the Celtics and is apparently still battling considerable discomfort. In his absence, expect to see more of Rodney McGruder, who started and played 38 minutes against the Celtics, as well as Wayne Ellington, who returned from a thigh bruise to play 27 minutes in his season debut Monday.
