Waiters will not return to Friday's game against the Timberwolves after sustaining a sprained ankle, Kevin Pelton of ESPN reports.
Waiters rolled his ankle on a drive to the hoop and was unable to remain in the game. He had to be helped off the court by team personnel, but at this point the exact severity of the injury is unclear. Consider Waiters day-to-day until further notice, and the team should issue an update Saturday in advance of Sunday's matchup with the Blazers.
