Williams (finger) will play in Wednesday's regular season opener against the Bucks, Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer reports.

Williams was diagnosed recently with a fractured left middle finger, but it's not expected to keep him sidelined to start the regular season, so he'll take the court Wednesday against the Bucks. He'll slot in as the Hornets' starting power forward and could see extended minutes if his top backup Frank Kaminsky (foot) is unable to play. He'll likely play with a splint on his finger, but considering it's to his non-shooting hand, it shouldn't have much of an impact on his playing ability.
