Jazz's Trey Lyles: Back-to-back 13-point outings off bench
Lyles finished with 13 points (6-8 FG, 1-3 3Pt), one rebound, one assist and one steal across 21 minutes in Monday's 112-103 win over the Timberwolves.
After a three-game run as the starter at power forward in place of Derrick Favors (knee) that featured a mixed bag of production, Lyles has come off the bench for the last two contests. While Boris Diaw has slotted back into the top unit and saw the majority of the playing time at power forward Monday, Lyles still outscored him and now has two 13-point games in a row on his ledger. The 21-year-old's ability to stretch the floor makes him a quality weapon in coach Quin Snyder's rotation, but his scoring production might remain somewhat inconsistent while he continues to split duties with Diaw. Lyles warrants only deep-league consideration at this time.
