Clarkson collected 15 points (6-12 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, two assists and four steals over 20 minutes in Friday's 101-97 preseason loss to the Nuggets.

Clarkson came off the bench for the second time in as many preseason games but outperformed starting two-guard Lou Williams, who managed only 10 points in two more minutes on the floor. Clarkson is still the odds-on favorite to open the season as the starter, despite coach Luke Walton having opted to experiment with him in a reserve role in the first pair of exhibition contests.
