Payton provided six points (2-7 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-4 FT), three assists, and one rebound in 30 minutes during the Magic's 107-93 loss to the Clippers on Friday.

Payton had as many turnovers as he did assists, and the Magic are 1-9 in the last 10 games. Payton is shooting 42 percent from the field on the season, but he is averaging 7.8 points on 37 percent from the floor, 3.8 assists, 3.4 rebounds, and 0.6 steals in 27 minutes per appearance over the last five games--all of which are significantly lower than his season averages. The sophomore and his team have hit a rough patch, but the All-Star break is coming up soon, which should allow Payton and company the chance to rest and recover for the final third of the campaign.
