Mavericks' Justin Anderson: Hits double figures for third game in a row
Anderson provided 14 points (4-7 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 4-5 FT), eight rebounds and two assists across 23 minutes in Sunday's 91-81 win over the Pelicans.
Coach Rick Carlisle lavished the second-year swingman with plenty of praise following his 14-point effort off the bench, which marked his third straight game of double-digit scoring. While Dirk Nowitzki (Achilles) is expected to return to action Wednesday against the Spurs to put the Mavs' starting five back intact, Anderson may end up poaching some of the playing time that had been going to Dorian Finney-Smith, who slotted in on the top unit Sunday in place of Nowitzki. If the 23-year-old can keep shooting well from distance and maintain his scoring, Anderson will warrant more interest in deeper fantasy leagues, even as he continues to come off the bench.
