Asik (illness) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Thunder, Brett Dawson of the New Orleans Advocate reports.

Despite the questionable tag, Asik is listed as a probable starter at center for Wednesday's game, perhaps suggesting the Pelicans are counting on him to be available after the stomach virus prevented him from playing Tuesday against the Nuggets. After averaging nearly 10 boards per game a season ago, Asik has been a nuisance for fantasy owners in 2015-16, as he's suited up for just five of the team's 11 games to date while dealing with a calf strain and now the stomach virus. Moreover, the calf injury appears to have deflated his playing time when he has been able to take the court, as Asik has cleared 20 minutes on just two of the occasions he's played. If both Asik and Anthony Davis end up sitting out Wednesday, the Pelicans would likely have to go with a patchwork frontcourt that could include Ryan Anderson and Alexis Ajinca as starters.
