Pistons' Reggie Jackson: Not likely to play during three-game road trip

Coach Stan Van Gundy said Monday that he's "not counting on" Jackson making his season debut during the Pistons' three-game road trip, which begins Tuesday against the Hornets and concludes Friday against the Hawks, Jake Chapman of the Pistons Radio Network reports.

Jackson, who has been sidelined for nearly two months with tendinitis in his left knee, was able to turn in a full practice Tuesday, but according to coach Stan Van Gundy, the point guard only took half of the repetitions. Though the Pistons are expected to rely on Jackson's judgment for when he feels ready for a return, it seems likely that he'll need more practice time to get his conditioning in order. While Jackson doesn't make for a strong activation for lineups this week, his chances of returning to the court in the first week of December appear more promising.
