Rockets' Eric Gordon: Tallies 10 points off bench Saturday
Gordon tallied 10 points (4-7 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal over 33 minutes in Saturday's 109-105 win over the Nuggets.
Gordon and Lou Williams continue to co-exist in the Rockets backcourt rotation in fairly seamless fashion, although the former has seen his usage rate drop from 23.7 percent to 20.5 since the latter's arrival at the trade deadline. However, Gordon has still posted double-digit scoring in four straight and eight of nine March games overall. He continues to be a dependable source of scoring and provides some decent returns in rebounding and assists as well, but his shooting percentage has taken a hit since the calendar flipped to 2017. Gordon shot just 40.1 percent in January, and saw that figure drop to 35.4 percent the following month. Despite Saturday's 57.1 percent tally, he's on track to post a sub-40 percent success rate again in March.
