Leonard (ankle) will not play in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals against the Warriors.

Although Leonard was listed as questionable for the contest, he was unable to go through any on-court work during the team's previous practices. Tom Orsborn of the San Antonio- Express-News relayed that coach Gregg Popovich indicated Leonard "is not thrilled by the decision." Thus, it appears the team stepped in here in order to avoid any further damage to the ankle. The star small forward aggravated the injury in Game 1, and has been sidelined since. His next opportunity to return to the court will be Game 4 on Monday. In the meantime, Jonathan Simmons figures to draw another start in Leonard's place.
