Spurs' Kawhi Leonard: Status remains uncertain for Game 3

Leonard (ankle) was at the Spurs' practice facility Thursday, but didn't appear to go through any on-court work, Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express-News reports.

The Spurs are expected to take an extremely cautious approach with Leonard, so he'll likely spend the next two days going through extensive treatment and rehabilitation. Coach Gregg Popovich indicated earlier in the week that he expects Leonard to ultimately be listed as questionable going into Game 3 on Saturday, but an official designation may not come until game day. Jonathon Simmons was one of the bright spots in Game 2, posting 22 points, three rebounds and three assists across 26 minutes, so he'd be in line for another start if Leonard can't give it a go Saturday.
