Gasol is finalizing a two-year deal with the Spurs, which is expected to be worth just over $30 million, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports.

With questions surrounding Tim Duncan and the possibility that he retires, the Spurs elected to pick up Gasol, who is a more than capable replacement. Gasol is expected to come in and start at center from the get go, meaning he should be able to post similar production to his 2015-16 campaign with the Bulls when he averaged 16.5 points, 11.0 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 2.0 blocks over 32 minutes per outing. Of course, coach Gregg Popovich likes to rest his veterans at points throughout the season, which could be a bit frustrating for fantasy owners. Either way, the Spurs will also need to make another roster move to get the numbers to work on Gasol's deal, with Boris Diaw currently the most likely candidate to be shipped out on a trade. The second year of Gasol's deal has a player option as well.
