Leonard recently indicated that he's "coming along nicely" in his recovery from a dislocated left shoulder that required surgery in late March, Kerry Eggers of the Portland Tribune reports.

Leonard is about three and a half months removed from the operation, but said that he's "able to do just about anything with [the shoulder] now," an encouraging remark after the procedure was expected to carry a six-to-eight month recovery timetable. Despite Leonard's disappointing 2015-16 season, the Blazers still seem to like his long-term potential, as evidenced by their decision to re-sign him to a four-year, $41 million contract earlier this month. While he won't be cleared to take contact until training camp begins, Leonard shouldn't have much issue getting his conditioning back up to par as he prepares for his fifth NBA campaign. He's expected to serve as the top backup to Al-Farouq Aminu at power forward, while also occasionally seeing time at center behind Mason Plumlee and Festus Ezeli.
