Leonard (shoulder) will have his sling removed Friday, Mike Richman of The Oregonian reports.
Leonard underwent surgery to repair his left shoulder in late March and is expected to be sidelined through training camp, if not the start of the regular season. He still has a long ways to go in the rehab process, so while getting the sling removed is encouraging, we can't assume Leonard is ahead of schedule in his recovery.
