Thornton totaled 11 points (4-7 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and three rebounds in 17 minutes during the Wizards' 126-115 overtime loss to the Thunder on Wednesday.

After playing 20 minutes or more in six of seven showings between Nov. 9 and Nov. 21, Thornton has combined to see 40 minutes over his last three appearances, and he was a healthy scratch during Monday's win over the Kings. Even though Thornton's role hasn't been all that demanding, this was the fifth occasion that he has reached double figures in scoring this season, and Markieff Morris twisted his ankle during Wednesday's loss. It's unclear if Morris will be forced to miss any time, but if he does then Thornton could very well be asked to fill the stretch forward position for 20-plus minutes on Friday versus the Spurs.
