Bayless (wrist) is expected to have his cast removed next week, Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Bayless underwent season-ending surgery on his left wrist in mid-December to address a torn ligament, and it now looks like he's ready to advance to the next phase of his rehab. The point guard is expected to be back to full strength by the start of training camp next fall and could end of challenging for the starting role if the 76ers determine Ben Simmons (foot) isn't ready to man the position right away.
Bayless had surgery on his left wrist Thursday to repair a torn ligament and is expected to miss the remainder of the season, Tom Moore of Calkins Media reports. Bayless is expected to have his wrist completely immobilized for the next 12 weeks and will then have to go through the long and tedious rehabilitation process throughout the rest of the regular season and into the offseason. He can safely be dropped in season-long fantasy leagues, with the potential to add Sergio Rodriguez, who's now expected to take over as the team's starting point guard. Look for Rodriguez to continue to play big minutes, with T.J. McConnell also having an expanded role off the bench. Bayless' contract is locked in with the Sixers through the 2018-19 season, so he should be back next year as a member of the backcourt rotation.
Bayless (wrist) will remain out Wednesday against the Raptors. The veteran continues to battle soreness in his left wrist, and at this point it's unclear if he's on any sort of trajectory to return in the near future. Surgery is reportedly an option, though Bayless is hopeful to avoid a procedure.
Bayless (wrist) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Pistons, Jessica Camerato of CSN Philadelphia reports. Bayless' lengthy absence will continue through at least this weekend, with his next opportunity to return coming Wednesday against the Raptors. Sergio Rodriguez and T.J. McConnell will continue to see most of the action at point guard.
Bayless (wrist) will not travel to New Orleans on Thursday for the team's game against the Pelicans, Brian Seltzer of Sixers.com reports. Thursday will mark Bayless' seventh straight absence with the sore left wrist and he remains without a timetable to return to the floor. Sergio Rodriguez will continue to start at point guard in Bayless' absence with T.J. McConnell serving as the primary backup. Bayless' next opportunity to play will be Sunday at Detroit, but it seems more likely for him to play when the team returns home next Wednesday against Toronto.
