Bayless agreed to a three-year, $27 million deal with the 76ers Friday, Jon Krawczynski of the AP reports. Bayless is coming off a productive 2015-16 campaign with the Bucks where he averaged 10.4 points and 3.1 assists over 52 games. The 27-year-old will serve as the experienced point guard the 76ers have been looking for, and with the departure of Ish Smith this offseason, Bayless is in line to start at the position and have a very productive individual season as long as he stays healthy.
Bayless (knee) will not play in the Bucks' season finale against the Pacers, Aron Yohannes of BrewHoop.com reports. Bayless has missed the Bucks past six games, and with nothing on the line in the season finale it's not too surprising that the team is keeping him out. Look for Rashad Vaughn and Tyler Ennis to again see increased minutes in Bayless' absence.
Bayless (knee) hopes to play in Milwaukee's season finale against the Pacers Wednesday, Charlie Gardner of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. Bayless will have missed six consecutive games following Tuesday's matchup with the Magic. The Bucks have a very thing backcourt, so Bayless could provide a welcoming presence for the season Finale. Expect on update on his status closer to tip-off.
Bayless (knee) did not practice Thursday and is not on the trip for the Bucks' three upcoming road games, Charles F. Gardner of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. Bayless has now missed three consecutive games due to a hyperextended knee, and it appears that streak will continue during the Bucks' road trip. Rashad Vaughn will likely be in for another start in Bayless' place Friday against the Celtics.
Bayless (knee) will not play Tuesday against the Cavaliers. Bayless was considered doubtful for Tuesday's game, and it has now been confirmed that he will remain on the sidelines for a third straight game. Rashad Vaughn and Tyler Ennis should both continue to see extended minutes with Bayless out.
