Babbitt scored 12 points (4-8 FG, 4-8 3Pt) while adding four rebounds across 18 minutes in Wednesday's 108-101 victory over the Hornets. Although Babbitt got the nod again over James Johnson, who missed the last game with an elbow injury, Johnson played more minutes Wednesday night and played better than Babbitt did. Babbitt's only attempts from the floor were behind the arc, showcasing his ability to only contribute in one area of the game. Johnson, however, stuffed the stat sheet Wednesday night and made plays that carried the Heat to a victory. Babbitt may continue to start for the time being, but that should be taken with a grain of salt as Johnson is the better fantasy option moving forward.
Babbitt (back) will start at power forward for Wednesday's matchup with the Hornets. Babbitt played just nine minutes during Monday's contest against the Cavaliers before leaving the game with back spasms. However, it appears the injury isn't too serious, as Babbitt is back in the starting lineup after just a one-game absence. Despite drawing the start, Babbitt doesn't usually get the bulk of the power forward minutes and there's likely better options out there for DFS contests.
Babbitt (back) has been upgraded to probable for Wednesday's game against the Hornets, Manny Navarro of the Miami Herald reports. Initially listed as questionable with back spasms, Babbitt's condition has apparently improved, as he was able to complete the Heat's morning shootaround without incident. At this point, he's on track to be available Wednesday night, and the team will offer official confirmation on his status closer to tip off. Babbitt has been among the best outside shooters in the NBA over the last few months, and he's converted 61.5 percent of his three-point attempts since the All-Star break.
Babbitt is dealing with back spasms and is questionable to return to Monday's game against the Cavaliers. Babbitt was expected to take on more minutes than normal Monday with James Johnson (elbow) ruled out, but that may not materialize now that he's hampered by the back injury. If Babbitt can't return, Okaro White would likely see the bulk of the minutes at power forward the rest of the way.
Babbitt (back) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Hornets, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Babbitt was removed from Monday's win over the Cavaliers due to back spasms, and it sounds like he hasn't fully recovered from the issue. With fellow power forwards James Johnson (elbow) and Okaro White (ankle) also on the injury report, there's a possibility the Heat may have to lean heavily on three- or four-guard lineups Wednesday, unless the team wants to dust off Udonis Haslem for major minutes at power forward. Look for the Heat to issue another update on Babbitt's status following Wednesday's morning shootaround.
