The 76ers announced Tuesday they signed forward Drew Gordon and guard Malcolm Lee. To clear two roster spots, the team waived forward Jarvis Varnado and guard Keith Bogans.
76ers center Jarvis Varnado, who is fighting for a roster spot, was unable to finish practice on Thursday because of an Achilles injury, the team announced. Varnado appeared in just 24 games last season for Philadelphia, averaging 4.1 points and 2.6 rebounds per outing.

Varnado's deal also contains a team option for the 2014-15 season with an unspecified amount of guaranteed money. Varnado has appeared in six games for the Sixers, averaging 2.3 points and 2.8 rebounds in 11.0 minutes per appearance.
