Miller (coach's decision) didn't see the floor in a 121-117 win over the Bucks on Friday. Miller has appeared in only one of the Nuggets' last seven games, and as has been the case all season, it looks unlikely that he'll emerge as a rotation player for coach Michael Malone. The veteran sharpshooter remains under contract with the Nuggets through the end of next season, but at this point, it's fair to say he's settled into a role as a de facto assistant coach.
Miller played four minutes and supplied one rebound and one assist in a 127-99 loss to the Spurs on Thursday. The four-minute outing was Miller's first appearance since Dec. 2, and just his fifth overall of the season. The veteran is more of a mentor for the team's younger players rather than an on-court contributor at this stage of his career.
Miller (personal) rejoined the Nuggets at Tuesday's practice, Chris Dempsey of the Denver Post reports. Miller was away from the team for roughly two weeks while attending to a personal matter, but he was back at practice Tuesday and is expected to be available Wednesday against Miami. The 36-year-old is not a part of Denver's regular rotation, however, so it's unlikely that he'll make a significant on-court impact in 2016-17.
Miller (personal) has been ruled out for Sunday's tilt with the Suns, Paul Coro of AZCentral.com reports. It was expected that Miller would return Sunday after missing the past eight games due to personal reasons. His next chance to take the court will come Wednesday when the Nuggets face the Heat.
Miller (personal) is expected to be back with the team on Saturday and therefore be available to play Sunday against the Suns, Harrison Wind of BSNDenver.com reports. Miller has already been ruled out for Friday's contest against the Thunder due to personal reasons, but he's slated to be back with the team over the weekend. His absence shouldn't have much of an impact, given the fact he's averaging just four minutes per game through three games this season.
