Jerrett was battling for the Trail Blazers' final roster spot with the likes of Greg Stiemsma and Tim Quarterman, but the team opted to go with Quarterman, which now places Jerrett on the waiver wire. Jerrett will likely open the season in the NBA D-League and could play for the Raptors affiliate, the Raptors 905.
Jerrett signed a training camp deal with the Trail Blazers on Tuesday, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports. The contract is non-guaranteed, so Jerrett will have to impress in camp to earn his way onto the final, 15-man roster, which seems like a longshot at this point. Jerrett did not play in the NBA last season after being waived by the Jazz during training camp.
