Pacers' Lavoy Allen: Records double-double, season-high 14 boards Friday

Allen had 13 points (6-10 FG, 1-1 FT), 14 rebounds, two assists, and one block in 30 minutes during the Pacers' 102-96 loss to the Hawks on Friday. Starting or not, this was Allen's highest minutes total since Dec. 30, and his third double-double of the season. Though rookie Myles Turner's breakout has meant fewer minutes overall of late for Allen, the 27-year-old veteran is a solid defender who does a lot of little things for the Pacers. Turner got into foul trouble on Friday, allowing Allen the opportunity to produce--and despite the loss--he did just that. Turner is still likely to see more minutes than Allen on most nights, but that doesn't mean Allen will be a complete afterthought in the rotation. Still, Allen's value is best reserved for deeper leagues, as stat-lines like this won't come all that often.

Pacers' Lavoy Allen: Returning to bench role

Allen will come off the bench Thursday against the Hawks. Allen had been starting alongside Ian Mahinmi in the frontcourt most nights, but the Pacers will make a change and go with rookie Myles Turner at the four next to Mahinmi. Turner has performed well of late, averaging 19.6 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.8 blocks over his last five contests. The move may not be permanent, but it looks as though Turner will have an opportunity to grab hold of the starting designation.

Pacers' Lavoy Allen: Will come off the bench Friday

Allen will come off the bench Friday versus the Warriors. Allen will move into a reserve role Friday while the Pacers take a small-ball approach in matching up with the Warriors. Solomon Hill will replace him in the starting lineup. This is likely a temporary move, and Allen should return to the starting lineup when the Pacers take on the Kings Saturday.

    Pacers' Lavoy Allen: Starts Sunday

Allen will start at power forward Sunday against the Nuggets, Candace Buckner of the Indianapolis Star reports. Allen has moved in and out of the starting lineup all season long, but he generally struggles to produce while on the court as he defers to Paul George and Monte Ellis.

Pacers' Lavoy Allen: Remains in starting lineup Saturday

Allen will get the start Saturday against the Pistons. He will remain in the starting lineup alongside Ian Mahinmi, who is returning from a knee injury, as the Pacers look to deploy their big lineup against Andre Drummond and the Pistons. Jordan Hill (mouth) is also returning, so while Allen is starting, he is unlikely to see the kind of run he saw in the last two games.

Pacers' Lavoy Allen: Scores season-high 14 points in start

Allen scored 14 points (7-8 FG) to go with four boards, three assists, a steal, and a block across 26 minutes in Thursday's 120-116 loss to the Bucks. The absences of Ian Mahinmi (knee) and Jordan Hill (mouth) allowed Allen to claim a starting role Thursday, but he saw fewer minutes than expected, considering the lack of available frontcourt options. Still, Allen was able to finish with his most points in any game this season, and may remain an enticing punt play in DFS formats if both Mahinmi and Hill remain sidelined for Saturday's game against the Pistons.

Pacers' Lavoy Allen: In the starting lineup Thursday

Allen is in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Bucks, Candace Buckner of Indy Star Sports reports. With both Ian Mahinmi (knee) and Jordan Hill (mouth) sitting out with their respective injuries, the Pacers will move Allen into the starting lineup. The Pacers come into Thursday's game extremely thin in the frontcourt, so expect Allen and rookie Myles Turner to see an increase in minutes until the Pacers' other bigs are healthy.

Pacers' Lavoy Allen: Plays season-high 38 minutes Wednesday

Allen contributed 10 points (5-7 FG), 12 rebounds, and one assist in 38 minutes during the Pacers' 102-100 overtime loss versus the Bulls on Wednesday. Allen was forced to play extended minutes with Ian Mahinmi (knee) exiting the game and Jordan Hill (mouth) and C.J. Miles (back) sitting out entirely. Allen notched his second double-double of the season, with his first coming against the Bulls as well back on Nov. 27. The Bulls play a lot of two-big lineups, so that helps Allen earn minutes at multiple positions. However, on Wednesday he was forced to play the majority of minutes available at center once Mahinmi left with his injury. If the Pacers' front-court remains ravaged by injury heading into Thursday's battle with the Bucks, Allen could be worth a look in daily leagues.

Pacers' Lavoy Allen: Will start Monday

Allen draws the start for Monday's matchup with San Antonio. Well it appears Allen won the coin flip for the start Monday between himself and C.J. Miles. It is hard to predict which big man will start at power forward for the Pacers these days, but Miles does appear to have a slight advantage. Overall however, the Pacers will likely continue determining its starting big man based solely on matchups.

Pacers' Lavoy Allen: Will come off the bench Friday

Allen returns to the bench Friday versus Brooklyn. Allen had started the Pacers previous two game, but has been replaced in the starting lineup by C.J. Miles Friday. It appears that the two are rotating starts based on matchups. Until the Pacers begin starting one of the two consistently, each game will be a situation to monitor.
