Suns' Jon Leuer: Scores 16 in win over Raptors

Leuer scored 16 points (6-10 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT) to go along with four rebounds, two assists, and one block over 23 minutes in Sunday's victory over the Raptors. Leuer has taken full advantage of Tyson Chandler missing two of the Suns' last three games, first because of an illness, and then as a result of a hamstring injury. While Alex Len has gotten the call to start at center on both occasions, Leuer has delivered more overall production of the two players, recording 36 points, 16 rebounds, and three assists in those two games while going 15-for-25 from the field and 4-for-8 from downtown. Chandler's hamstring injury puts his status in question for the new week, which could make Leuer worth tracking in the near term for those in deep leagues.

Suns' Jon Leuer: Explodes for season-best 20 points and 12 rebounds

Leuer exploded for a season-best 20 points (9-15 FG, 2-4 3Pt), 12 rebounds, and one assist in 25 minutes Wednesday against the Pelicans. Leuer made the most of Tyson Chandler (illness) sitting, and took on the main backup duties at the front court for the Suns. That being said, he isn't likely going to sustain this value when Chandler returns shortly, as he has both Chandler and Alex Len ahead of him in the depth chart.

Suns' Jon Leuer: Moving back to bench

Leuer will move back to a reserve role with Markieff Morris (knee) slated to return to the starting lineup Wednesday against the Bulls, Zach Buchanan of the Arizona Republic reports. Leuer started the Suns' last two games in place of Morris, but didn't notice a dramatic uptick in playing time, as he saw 19 minutes last Saturday versus the Nuggets and 21 minutes Monday against the Lakers. Expect his playing time to settle in the high-teens while he comes off the bench, which will likely prevent him from supplying much notable fantasy production.

Suns' Jon Leuer: Will get the start Monday versus Lakers

Leuer will get the start Monday versus the Lakers, Paul Coro of The Arizona Republic reports. Leuer will get his second consecutive start Monday with Markief Morris out again. Leuer put up seven points, five rebounds, two assists, and one three in 19 minutes in Saturday's blowout win over the Nuggets. He'll likely matchup against Julius Randle of the Lakers.

Suns' Jon Leuer: Will start Saturday

Leuer will get the start at power forward Saturday, Paul Coro of The Arizona Republic reports. Leuer will replace Markieff Morris, who will not play after sustaining a knee sprain during Thursday's game against the Clippers. Leuer will likely cede some minutes to T.J. Warren in small-ball lineups, but he could be a decent daily play against the dismal Nuggets.

Suns' Jon Leuer: Totals seven points Monday

Leuer totaled seven points (3-4 FG, 1-2 3Pt), three rebounds, and one steal Monday in a loss versus the Clippers. Leuer only played 12 minutes off the bench, which are the fewest minutes he's played all season. However, he did play more than fellow reserve big men Alex Len and Mirza Teletovic. The Suns relied heavily on their starters Monday, which could explain why Leuer's minutes declined further. Leuer's offensive efficiency and solid 3-point shooting so far could help him stay in the rotation for playing time, though.

Suns' Jon Leuer: Averaging 19 minutes per game in preseason

Leuer is averaging 19 minutes per game after four preseason outings. Leuer's playing time has stayed consistent this preseason as he has played 19 minutes or more in three of his four preseason contests. His stats have been inflated by a 17-point, 13-rebound outing in his first preseason action, but his other three contests reveal a lackluster 6.7 points and 4.7 rebounds per game average. The Wisconsin product was acquired in an offseason trade and will need to dig himself out from the depth chart in order to find a rotation spot for the 2015-16 season.
