Rockets' Jason Terry: Will play Wednesday

Terry will play Wednesday against the Spurs and Friday against the Thunder, but he'll rest Saturday when the Rockets host the Wizards, Calvin Watkins of ESPN reports. Terry sat out Monday's win over New Orleans to rest, but he'll return to action Wednesday night and should be expected to see his usual complement of 15-to-20 minutes off the bench. At age 38, Terry's best years are well behind him, and while he's been a useful shooter for the Rockets, he doesn't hold much value in daily contests.

Rockets' Jason Terry: Doesn't play Monday

Terry (coach's decision) didn't play in Monday's 112-111 win over the Pelicans. With Patrick Beverley (35 minutes) playing well in the contest, interim coach J.B. Bickerstaff opted to run a shorter rotation, which enabled Ty Lawson to stick as the backup point guard but left no court time available for Terry. It's unlikely that will always be the case for Terry, who has appeared in 39 of the Rockets' 47 games this season, but given that he's only averaging 17.3 minutes on the campaign, he doesn't really have much upside.

Rockets' Jason Terry: Scores eight points while coming off bench

Terry tallied eight points (3-5 FG, 2-4 3Pt) and one assist over 20 minutes in his return to the bench during Sunday's 115-104 win over the Mavericks. Terry had actually played 19 minutes while starting the Rockets' previous game against the Bucks, so even with Patrick Beverley (ankle) returning to the top unit, Terry's role still remained fairly stable. The veteran should be able to hold down a fairly consistent 10-to-20-minute role off the bench for the Rockets due to his ability to play at either guard spot.

Rockets' Jason Terry: Hits the bench Sunday

Terry will return to a bench role for Sunday's game against the Mavericks, Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports. Patrick Beverley will reclaim starting duties at point guard following a two-game absence due to an aggravation of his sprained left ankle, resulting in Terry and Ty Lawson seeing lessened roles in the Rockets' backcourt. Terry, who has appeared in 31 of his 38 games as a reserve, is averaging 5.7 points and 1.3 assists in 15.5 minutes off the bench, compared to seven points and two assists in 24.4 minutes as a starter.

Rockets' Jason Terry: Will start Friday

Terry will get the start Friday against Milwaukee, Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports. The Rockets made some late tweaks to their lineup Friday after it was confirmed that Terry would be able to play. Rather than turning to Lawson to start at point guard with Patrick Beverley (ankle) sidelined, the Rockets will give Terry the nod against the Bucks. Still, Terry and Lawson could very well see a significant amount of minutes Friday.

Rockets' Jason Terry: Will play Friday

Terry (knee) will play Friday versus Milwaukee, Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports. Although Terry was questionable heading into the evening, his status does not come as a surprise considering he was able to participate in Houston's team shootaround Friday Morning. Houston may be cautious with him if it appears his knee is hampering his performance, but he will likely assume his typical workload.

Rockets' Jason Terry: Questionable to play Friday

Terry is dealing with right knee pain and is considered questionable for Friday's game against the Bucks, Calvin Watkins of ESPN.com reports. Terry's injury doesn't appear to be anything serious, as he's simply dealing with the wear and tear of another NBA season. If the pain in his knee worsens, expect Ty Lawson to see an increased role, especially if Patrick Beverley (ankle) is also sidelined.

Rockets' Jason Terry: Starts, plays 17 minutes despite illness

Terry produced two points (1-4 FG, 0-2 3Pt) and three assists across 17 minutes in Sunday's 112-95 victory over the Lakers. Though he missed the Rockets' morning shootaround due to an illness, Terry recovered over the afternoon and then received the surprise starting nod at point guard in place of the injured Patrick Beverley (ankle). Even though Terry made the start, it was backup Ty Lawson who was the main beneficiary of Beverley's absence. Lawson saw 31 minutes to Terry's 17, signaling that Terry likely isn't in line to gain much fantasy value even if Beverley is sidelined for multiple games.

Rockets' Jason Terry: Starts at point against Lakers

Terry (illness) will start against the Lakers on Sunday, broadcaster Craig Ackerman reports. Terry had already been cleared to play Sunday after missing morning shootaround with an illness, and now he'll be bumped into the starting five with Patrick Beverley dealing with an ankle issue. The veteran could certainly be in store for abnormal playing time, but Ty Lawson will likely cut into his minutes while coming off the bench.

Rockets' Jason Terry: Shakes off illness Sunday

Terry (illness) will play Sunday against the Lakers, Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports. Terry was unable to participate in Sunday's morning shootaround while dealing with an illness, but apparently he was just resting up for the actual game. His workload against the Lakers remains in flux, however, since Patrick Beverley (ankle) remains a game-time decision.
