Bucks' Jerryd Bayless: Will play vs. Celtics

Bayless is dealing with a minor, left knee injury but will play Tuesday against the Celtics, A. Sherrod Blakely of CSN New England reports. Bayless was not thought to be dealing with an injury, but he popped up on the report Tuesday with a "left knee" designation. Little is known about the ailment, but the fact that he's playing would seem to indicate that it's only minor, routine soreness. Expect Bayless to hold down his usual role as the first guard off the bench.

Bucks' Jerryd Bayless: Scores 15 points off bench in Friday loss

Bayless managed 15 points (5-8 FG, 5-6 3Pt), three rebounds, two assists and a steal over 25 minutes in Friday's 84-81 loss to the Jazz. As he often does, Bayless provided a nice scoring boost off the bench for a Bucks squad that struggled to generate offense against the Jazz's stalwart defense. It was the 27-year-old's second consecutive double-digit scoring game, a nice bounce-back from scoreless and six-point outings in the two contests prior. While the occasional outbursts off the bench are certainly a welcome sight, Bayless doesn't quite provide enough game-to-game consistency to be relied on outside of deep leagues and as an occasional punt play in daily formats.

Bucks' Jerryd Bayless: Scores 16 points Tuesday

Bayless contributed 16 points (6-9 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five assists, one rebound, and one block in 30 minutes during the Bucks' 107-95 loss to the Trail Blazers on Tuesday. Bayless had his best game in over a month on Tuesday, scoring 16 points on nine field goal attempts while playing 30 minutes for just the fourth time in his last 14 appearances. Typically, third-year guard Michael Carter-Williams spends the bulk of time at point guard, but every so often MCW has an off night and Bayless is able to capitalize. Nevertheless, this doesn't make Bayless all that enticing in most formats.

Bucks' Jerryd Bayless: Plays 30 minutes in second game back from injury

Bayless contributed 11 points (4-7 FG, 3-6 3Pt), three rebounds, three assists, and one steal across 30 minutes in Tuesday's 91-79 win over the Bucks. Bayless, who was playing in his second game since returning from an ankle injury, ended up seeing more court time than starting point guard Michael Carter-Williams (25 minutes). While that won't always be guaranteed, it could become a fairly common arrangement between the two, just as it was earlier in the season. Carter-Williams is the superior playmaker, but Bayless does a better job of stretching the floor due to his three-point shooting, and that's a skill that's sorely needed on this Bucks roster.

Bucks' Jerryd Bayless: Plays 22 minutes in return

Bayless (ankle) played 22 minutes in his return to action Saturday against the Hornets, finishing with three points (1-5 FG, 1-3 3Pt), six assists, two rebounds, and a blocked shot. Bayless, who had missed the previous six games with a sprained left ankle, was quickly able to reclaim a prominent spot in the Bucks' rotation and cut into the workload of starting point guard Michael Carter-Williams. While it's likely that Carter-Williams will continue to start at the position and frequently see more playing time of the two players, Bayless could still settle into a regular 25-to-30 minute role off the bench due to the Bucks' lack of appealing backcourt reserves.

Bucks' Jerryd Bayless: Probable for Saturday

Bayless (ankle) is probable for Saturday's game against Charlotte, Charles Gardner of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. Bayless was held out of Friday's game against Atlanta due to a sprained left ankle, but it appears likely that he'll be available for the Bucks matchup with the Hornets. His return would be a welcome one after starting point guard Michael Carter-Williams logged 42 minutes in the Bucks' overtime win over the Hawks. Provided that Bayless does play Saturday, Tyler Ennis' potential playing time would likely dwindle.

Bucks' Jerryd Bayless: Will not play Friday

Bayless (ankle) has been ruled out for Friday's contest versus the Hawks, Aron Yohannes of reports. Bayless was questionable heading into Friday evening, but will not be able to go. This will be his sixth consecutive game missed. His next opportunity to return to the court will be Saturday versus the Hornets.

Bucks' Jerryd Bayless: Ruled out Tuesday

Bayless (ankle) has been ruled out of Tuesday's game against the Bulls. Bayless will miss his fourth straight game, as he continues to work his way back from an ankle injury. Reports have not indicated that he's even resumed practicing yet, so we remain without a concrete timetable to return. O.J. Mayo is also questionable with a hamstring injury, so look for Michael Carter-Williams to do the majority of the ball-handling Tuesday. Bayless' status for Wednesday's tilt with the Wizards is up in the air as well at this point in time.

Bucks' Jerryd Bayless: Will miss third straight game

Bayless (ankle) will be unavailable for Sunday's game against the Knicks, Ted Davis of The Big 920 AM reports. It will mark Bayless' third straight absence due to the ankle injury. It hasn't been reported that Bayless has resumed practicing since suffering the ailment in last Monday's loss to the Spurs, and until that happens, it will be difficult to bank on him returning to the floor in the immediate future.

Bucks' Jerryd Bayless: Ruled out Friday

Bayless (ankle) is listed as out for Friday's game against the Mavericks, Charles F. Gardner of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. The Bucks haven't provided many updates regarding the extent of the left ankle sprain that Bayless suffered in Monday's loss to the Spurs, but it appears he could potentially be in store for another multi-week absence after he sustained a sprain of the same ankle back in early December and missed 11 games. Until Bayless is back on the court for practice, he shouldn't be viewed as close to returning.
