The Kings waived Lopez after acquiring him from the Bucks earlier Thursday, James Ham of ESPN 1320 Sacramento reports. The Kings acquired Lopez from the Bucks in exchange for cash considerations, but it's unsurprising to see Sacramento waiving him. Expect Lopez to try and sign with another franchise, but he'll likely be nothing more than a third-string center no matter where he lands. He appeared in 16 games for the Bucks this season, averaging just 4.1 minutes.... See More ... See Less

Kings' Robin Lopez: Sent to Kings, likely to be waived
The Bucks are trading Lopez to Sacramento in exchange for cash considerations Thursday. The veteran big man is expected to be waived and become a free agent, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Lopez has received a minimal role for Milwaukee this season, averaging 1.1 points in 4.1 minutes across 16 appearances. If the veteran big man is released and clears waivers, he will likely look to join another franchise as a depth piece in the frontcourt.... See More ... See Less -
Bucks' Robin Lopez: Enters starting lineup
Lopez will start Tuesday's game against the Suns. Bobby Portis will head back to the bench. Brook Lopez (personal) will miss his third straight game Tuesday, but it will be interesting to see how many minutes his brother, Robin, will see considering he's played a total of eight in his last two appearances.... Bucks' Robin Lopez: Held scoreless off bench
Lopez recorded zero points (0-2 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and one rebound in four minutes during Sunday's 123-108 loss to the Jazz. Lopez made his first start of the season Saturday against Dallas but played just four minutes. He retreated to the bench for the second half of the back-to-back set and didn't generate much production. The 35-year-old hasn't been a consistent part of the Bucks' rotation in recent weeks, even with his brother, Brook Lopez (personal) missing two straight games.... See More ... See Less -
Bucks' Robin Lopez: Making first start of season
Lopez is part of the first unit for Saturday's game against the Mavericks. Lopez will take the place of his brother, Brook Lopez (personal), for his first start of the regular season. While he should certainly take on a sizeable workload, it's likely that Lopez won't receive full starter minutes with Bobby Portis and Giannis Antetokounmpo expected to see action at the five spot.... See More ... See Less -
Bucks' Robin Lopez: Back in rotation Tuesday
Lopez produced zero points (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt) across two minutes during Tuesday's 146-122 victory over the Knicks. Lopez saw two minutes during garbage time as the Bucks blew out the Knicks. As expected, Lopez doesn't feature in the rotation most nights, instead plying his trade as one of the best celebratory candidates in the league. Sadly, this does not translate to fantasy value.... Bucks' Robin Lopez: Back to bench
Lopez will return to the bench for Friday's preseason game against Memphis. This is an expected move, as Brook Lopez is returning from a rest day. With Bobby Portis likely getting a lot of minutes as the backup center, Robin's role could be pretty volatile most nights.... See More ... See Less -
Bucks' Robin Lopez: Scoreless in spot start
Lopez logged zero points (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and three rebounds across 17 minutes in Tuesday's 124-101 preseason loss to the Thunder. Lopez got the start in place of his brother Brook Lopez (rest), but he didn't do anything to suggest he'll be a threat for playing time. Lopez will presumably open the regular season as a backup big, but he won't see enough minutes to be relevant in fantasy.... See More ... See Less -
Bucks' Robin Lopez: Starting in place of brother
Lopez is in the starting five for Tuesday's preseason game versus the Thunder. Lopez will replace his brother, Brook Lopez (rest), in the starting lineup Tuesday. Robin Lopez is expected to be one of Milwaukee's backup centers this season.... See More ... See Less -
Bucks' Robin Lopez: Agrees to deal with Milwaukee
Lopez and the Bucks agreed Monday on a deal, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Lopez appeared in 37 games for the Cavaliers last year (two starts) and averaged 3.0 points and 1.4 rebounds in 8.1 minutes per game. He'll now return to Milwaukee, where he spent the 2019-20 campaign, and serve as the backup to his brother, Brook Lopez.... See More ... See Less -
Cavaliers' Robin Lopez: Rare playoff appearance
Lopez totaled four points (2-2 FG) over two minutes during Tuesday's 107-90 victory over the Knicks in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals. Lopez got into the rotation Tuesday, much to the delight of the fans. With the game well in control, Lopez delivered a garbage time special, draining a pair of baskets in just two minutes. However, Lopez is unlikely to see the court on most nights, especially with the series likely to be a close one.... See More ... See Less -
Cavaliers' Robin Lopez: Heads to bench Sunday
Lopez is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Hornets, Serena Winters of Bally Sports Cleveland reports. Lopez made a spot start Thursday against the Magic since the coaching staff decided to rest the entire first unit, but he moves back to his regular bench role ahead of the regular-season finale with both Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen back in the lineup. Lopez is averaging 2.8 points and 1.4 rebounds per game across 33 bench appearances this season.... See More ... See Less -
Cavaliers' Robin Lopez: Set for spot start
Lopez will start Thursday's game against the Magic, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. With Cleveland resting its entire starting lineup, Lopez moves into the first five and will be joined by Ricky Rubio, Cedi Osman, Dean Wade and Lamar Stevens. In his lone start this season, the veteran center played just four minutes, so Mamadi Diakite and Isaiah Mobley could end up seeing extended action off the bench.... See More ... See Less -
Cavaliers' Robin Lopez: Grabs five boards in nine minutes
Lopez chipped in two points (1-2 FG), five rebounds and two blocks across nine minutes during Sunday's 114-108 victory over the Hornets. The Cavaliers dusted off Lopez during Sunday's win, calling on the veteran with Jarrett Allen sidelined due to an eye issue. Lopez was only required for nine minutes but made the most of his time on the floor, grabbing five boards to go with two blocks. Obviously, there are no fantasy ramifications here, but it is always nice to see Lopez's vintage hook shot on display.... See More ... See Less -
Cavaliers' Robin Lopez: Cameo appearance Sunday
Lopez produced two points (1-1 FG), two rebounds, two assists and one block in 10 minutes during Sunday's 122-99 victory over the Clippers. Lopez made his first appearance in over three weeks, stepping into the rotation as the game descended into garbage time. Now firmly in the twilight of his career, Lopez is basically a strong locker-room presence and nothing more. He has appeared in only eight games over the past two months, finding himself on the outside looking in when it comes to playing meaningful minutes.... See More ... See Less -
Cavaliers' Robin Lopez: Good to go Saturday
Lopez (illness) is available for Saturday's game against the Bulls. Lopez has been upgraded from probable to available after missing the last two games with a non-COVID illness. The veteran big man may see extended frontcourt minutes with Evan Mobley (ankle) out.... See More ... See Less -
Cavaliers' Robin Lopez: Likely to play Saturday
Lopez (illness) is probable for Saturday's game against the Bulls. Lopez will likely return to the lineup Saturday after missing the last two games with a non-COVID illness. However, he had only played in four of the team's previous 10 games.... See More ... See Less -
Cavaliers' Robin Lopez: Listed questionable Thursday
Lopez (illness) is considered questionable for Thursday's game versus the Pacers, Danny Cunningham of 850 ESPN Cleveland reports. Lopez doesn't possess much of a role for the Cavaliers, even when healthy, but he typically provides a handful of spare frontcourt minutes. If he can't go again Thursday, his next opportunity to play will arrive Saturday in Chicago.... See More ... See Less -
Cavaliers' Robin Lopez: Won't play Monday
Lopez (illness) has been ruled out of Monday's game against the Nets, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. There are no further details regarding the illness, but Lopez won't take the court against Brooklyn, which means even more minutes will be available for Cedi Osman and Kevin Love off the bench. Lopez's next chance to play will come Thursday against the Pacers.... See More ... See Less -
Cavaliers' Robin Lopez: Back to bench
Lopez is coming off the bench Monday against Toronto, Cayleigh Griffin of AT&T SportsNet Southwest reports. Lopez drew a rare start Sunday against the Pistons, but he'll return to his usual role despite a thin Cleveland frontcourt. He's averaging 3.2 points and 1.4 rebounds in 11.2 minutes over his last five appearances as a reserve.... See More ... See Less

Frank Madden@fmaddenNBA19H agoBucks did a lot of things well in game 1 but tonight you saw how slim their margin for error is without Giannis, especially when Indy doesn't miss a ton of shots. Pacers consistently created advantages offensively and made it difficult for Bucks to get into their offense.
