      Chris Singleton makes brief debut

      Wizards forward Chris Singleton had a brief season debut Tuesday night against the Lakers. Singleton checked into the game with one minute remaining in the second quarter. He played the final minute of the half and remained in the bench for the remainder of the game after halftime. He failed to record any stats in a 116-111 victory.

      Wizards forwards Otto Porter (hip) and Chris Singleton (foot) were able to practice for the first time Monday, the team announced. Unfortunately, neither has any sort of timeline for an expected return to action, according to the Washington Post. "If I knew, I'd tell you. I don't know," Porter said. "I got to take it one day at a time." Neither Porter nor Singleton has been able to play this season.

      Still no timeline for Chris Singleton, Otto Porter

      The Wizards have been forced to play without forwards Chris Singleton (foot) and rookie Otto Porter (hip) so far this season, and coach Randy Wittman was unable to give a concrete timetable for either player when he spoke with the Washington Post Friday. "Chris is probably a lot closer than Otto is," Wittman said, when asked for a timetable. But he couldn't get specific with Porter. "Again, I still don't know much on that. It's just a matter of doctors giving him the clearance." Both players have been out since the preseason as a result of their injuries.

      The Wizards have decided to not pick up the fourth-year team options on the contracts of Jan Vesely and Chris Singleton, Comcast SportsNet Washington reports Friday. Vesely and Singleton will become free agents at the end of the season.
