Wizards' DeJuan Blair: Sees five minutes Tuesday

Blair played five minutes in Tuesday's win over the Bucks, producing one point (0-1 FG, 1-2 FT) and three assists. Blair has been an inconsistent member of the Wizards' rotation this season, appearing in four of the team's nine games. He saw some run Tuesday with the Wizards winning by a 29-point margin, but since that doesn't figure to happen very often, he can't be counted on to see playing time on a nightly basis.

Wizards' DeJuan Blair: Didn't see any action Wednesday

Blair was DNP-CD in Washington's 102-99 win over the Spurs on Wednesday. Blair hasn't been in the mix for Washington minutes early on this regular season, in fact he has appeared in just one game for four minutes. He's currently fighting for playing time against teammates Marcin Gortat, Nene Hilario, Kris Humphries, and Drew Gooden, and it's hard to imagine him having much of a role in the near future.

Wizards' DeJuan Blair: Returns to practice

Blair (knee) returned to practice over the weekend and should be available for the start of the regular season, J. Michael of CSN Washington reports. Blair took part in shootaround ahead of Friday's preseason finale against the Raptors, but ended up sitting out mainly for precautionary purposes. A sore right knee limited the big man to just three preseason outings, but he was effective when on the court, averaging 13 points and eight boards in those contests. With a couple days to heal up before Wednesday's opener against the Magic, Blair should be available off the bench, should coach Randy Wittman elected to turn to him.

Wizards' DeJuan Blair: Likely to sit for Wednesday's preseason game

Blair missed Tuesday's practice due to a knee injury and is unlikely to play in Wednesday's preseason game against the Heat, J. Michael of CSN Washington reports. Blair is likely experiencing some soreness in the left knee after a productive showing in the team's last exhibition Saturday against the Bucks, during which he scored 12 points and pulled down 14 boards in just 18 minutes. The knee has been an issue for Blair on and off all training camp, but due to the limited playing time he'll see off the bench when the regular season tips off, it's not likely to be something that greatly inhibits him throughout the year.

Wizards PF DeJuan Blair skips Monday practice with knee issue

Wizards point forward DeJuan Blair missed Monday's practice with a left knee injury, CSN Washington's J. Michael reports. The Wizards didn't suggest that Blair's injury was anything more than a minor issue, so the presumption is that he'll still be ready to go by the time the regular season rolls around. Blair has made one appearance in the preseason, logging 12 points and four rebounds in just six minutes of play.
