Spurs' Patty Mills: Pours in 16 points off bench in Friday blowout victory

Mills poured in 16 points (6-8 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 2-3 FT) and four rebounds over 15 minutes in Friday's 116-90 victory over the Mavericks. Mills was a whirling derbish off the bench, averaging more than a point per minute on the floor. It was the veteran sharpshooter's second double-digit scoring performance in the last three games, and brought his February shooting percentages over three games to an outstanding 67 percent from the field and stellar 88 percent from beyond the arc. While those numbers are largely unsustainable, Mills always lurks as a potentially rewarding punt play in daily leagues due to his ability to put up a flurry of points in relatively brief time.

Spurs' Patty Mills: Season-high in points versus Magic

Mills tied a season-high with 22 points (9-13 FG, 1-1 FT, 3-4 3Pt) to go along with five assists, four rebounds and a steal in just 21 minutes of Monday's win over the Magic. The 27-year-old was extremely busy in limited playing time, recording his most shot attempts since mid-November and dishing out five helpers for just the second time since mid-December. Mills' playing time has remained consistent throughout the season, but production such as this has been rare and sometimes unpredictable. As such, he carries little present value in season-long leagues and is a dart throw in DFS play.

Spurs' Patty Mills: Pours in 15 points off bench Friday

Mills poured in 15 points (6-10 FG, 3-3 3Pt), and added four rebounds and two assists over 18 minutes in Friday's 108-95 victory over the Lakers. The veteran point guard was highly efficient and aggressive during his modest time on the court, turning in one of his better all-around shooting nights of the season. His scoring total was his best since hanging 22 on this same Lakers squad back on Dec. 11, and he took double-digit shot attempts for the second straight game and only the third time in January. Mills' contributions in the rebound category were also a pleasant surprise that served to round out his stat line nicely. The seven-year veteran's minutes have been consistently in the mid-teens at a minimum, and occasionally spike into the low-to-mid 20s, always making Mills a near-minimum priced option in daily formats and a source of three-point shooting in very deep season-long leagues.

Spurs' Patty Mills: Scores 10 points in Monday's start

Mills managed 10 points (3-7 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five assists, and one rebound in 28 minutes during the Spurs' 123-98 win against the Bucks on Monday. Mills earned the start with Tony Parker nursing a sore hip. Mills committed only one turnover, and he converted on three long-balls. If Parker remains out for a few games, Mills will likely see a slight boost in value short-term, though the Spurs do tend to spread it around on offense.

Spurs' Patty Mills: Starts at point guard Monday

Mills will get the unexpected start at point guard Monday against the Bucks with Tony Parker ruled out with a hip injury. The extent of Parker's injury remains unclear but it appears Mills will benefit in the duration of his time off the court. Although, Mills has yet to play more than 28 minutes this season and that could certainly hold true Monday since coach Gregg Popovich can also utilize Kyle Anderson and Ray McCallum at point guard.

Spurs' Patty Mills: Manages season-high 22 points in Friday victory

Mills chipped in with a season-high 22 points (9-11 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, three assists and a steal over 22 minutes in Friday's 107-94 victory over the Lakers. The veteran guard was highly efficient in the blowout, tallying a point per minute on the floor. While the performance was certainly remarkable, Mills posts single-digit scoring nights more often than not, and Friday was simply a case of the 27-year-old catching fire from the field while equaling his second-highest number of shot attempts on the season. The sharpshooter also equaled a season-best from long range with a trio of three-pointers, and managed his second-best percentage (75 percent) from beyond the arc in a game in the 2015-16 campaign.

Spurs' Patty Mills: Scores 13 points

Mills posted 13 points (5-11 FG, 3-6 3Pt), three rebounds, and three assists in 22 minutes in Wednesday's blowout win against the Bucks. Mills has been steadily averaging 8.4 points and 1.6 threes over the last five games -- on par with his season averages. He's glued to the bench for the Spurs, but his role sees him hitting around 20 minutes a night. That being said, he could be worth a low-end pickup in very deep leagues.

Spurs' Patty Mills: Seeing around 20 minutes per game

Mills is averaging 7.8 points, 1.4 steals, 1.2 rebounds, and 0.8 assists in 20.6 minutes over his last five games. Since going off for a season-high 17 points Nov. 18 against the Nuggets, Mills has reached double figures in just three of the Spurs' last seven contests. He'll be a useful target in daily formats on any occasion Tony Parker might miss a game due to rest or injury, but with only 20-to-25 minutes per game usually afforded to him, Mills doesn't really offer much intrigue in season-long formats.

Spurs' Patty Mills: Scores 17 points

Mills posted 17 points (7-15 FG, 3-6 3Pt), six rebounds, three assists, one steal, and one block in 25 minutes Wednesday against the Nuggets. Wednesday marked Mills' season high in scoring, but owners should take this with a grain of salt. He's consistently hitting around 20 minutes per game, and his role is pretty solidified as a backup. It's going to be tough for him to score this much on a usual basis without an injury occurring, so his fantasy outlook moving forward seems to pretty minimal in spite of his consistent source of minutes.

Spurs' Patty Mills: Plays 25 minutes off the bench Monday

Mills netted five points along with two rebounds, assists, and steals in Monday's 94-84 win at New York. Mills continues to be a formidable backup to veteran point guard Tony Parker. Mills played 25 minutes to Parker's 29, which shows head coach Gregg Popovich desire to keep Parker rested as the season wears on. Mills will likely be called upon many times throughout the year to help rest the veteran and eat a bunch of minutes. Through four games he is averaging 8.3 points per game and shooting a blistering 61.8 percent from downtown.
