Raptors' Patrick Patterson: Plays 24 minutes Friday

Patterson provided five points (2-5 FG, 1-4 3Pt) and two rebounds in 24 minutes during the Raptors' 101-81 win against the Heat on Friday. Patterson is posting nine points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 0.8 blocks, and 0.4 steals in 30 minutes per contest over the last five games. Teammate Luis Scola has seen only 20 minutes per contest over that same timespan, but they are each averaging 24 minutes per game on the season, and should be expected to split time at power forward fairly evenly over the course of season.

Raptors' Patrick Patterson: Four threes off the bench Friday

Patterson scored 14 points (5-9 FG, 4-6 3Pt) while adding six rebounds and a steal in 23 minutes off the bench during Friday's win over the Hornets. The Raptors caught fire from three-point range in the second half, with Patterson being one of their top snipers. He's scored in double digits just three times in the last 12 games, however, and when he's not locked in from downtown Patterson doesn't offer a lot of fantasy value, averaging only 6.6 points, 4.5 boards, 1.4 threes and 1.0 steals over that stretch.

Raptors' Patrick Patterson: To return to action Saturday

Patterson (illness) will be able to play Saturday against Milwaukee, Charles Gardner of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. Patterson left Tuesday's contest after just eight minutes due to flu-like symptoms, but after a few days off, he'll be back in action Saturday against the Bucks. He's averaging 5.7 points and 4.3 rebounds in 22.7 minutes per game coming off the bench this season and will provide depth and flexibility to a front court that is still missing Jonas Valanciunas (hand).

Raptors' Patrick Patterson: Leaves game Tuesday with flu-like symptoms

Patterson is dealing with flu-like symptoms and will not return to Tuesday's game against the Mavericks. There weren't any reports prior to the game indicating Patterson was dealing with any sort of sickness, but whatever he's come down with is affecting him enough that he'll sit out the rest of Tuesday's outing. Patterson went scoreless (0-2 3Pt) with one steal and a turnover in eight minutes of action. He should now be considered questionable for Saturday's game against the Bucks, although considering he'll have three full days of rest, it seems likely that he'll be ready to go.

Raptors' Patrick Patterson: Scores season-high 18 off the bench Sunday

Patterson scored 18 points (6-12 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT) while adding eight rebounds and three steals in 33 minutes off the bench during Sunday's loss to the Kings. It was not only Patterson's best game of the season, it was only the third time he's even scored in double digits. He had just 15 total points in the four games prior to Sunday, so he'll need to show a lot more consistency before he's worth even considering for a roster spot on your fantasy team.

Raptors' Patrick Patterson: Plays season-high 34 minutes Wednesday

Patterson posted 10 points (3-5 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, one assist, and three steals in 34 minutes during the Raptors' 97-94 win versus the Spurs on Wednesday. Patterson has now seen 30 or more minutes in two of the past three games after failing to reach that mark during the first 20 games of the season. Patterson posted season-highs in minutes and steals on Wednesday, and could be in line to see similarly decent minute loads in the short-term with Jonas Valanciunas (hand) and DeMarre Carroll (knee) sidelined.

Raptors' Patrick Patterson: Grabs seven boards in 23 minutes Wednesday

Patterson scored six points (2-7 FG, 2-6 3Pt) and grabbed seven rebounds, one steal, and one block over 23 minutes in Wednesday's 96-86 win over the Hawks. Though Luis Scola continues to start at power forward, Patterson has seen a minor uptick in playing time over the last handful of games while coach Dwane Casey has experimented with more small-ball lineups. Patterson's ability to knock down shots from deep should continue to result in a rather even split in playing time between him and Scola, which unfortunately works to limit the overall fantasy upside of both players.

Raptors' Patrick Patterson: Limited offensively off bench

Patterson has failed to score in double figures in nine of his last ten games. Patterson has been getting solid minutes off the bench, as he is averaging 20 per game on the season and is splitting time with Luis Scola, but the power forward simply isn't being productive enough offensively to have much fantasy relevance. Patterson currently boasts averages of just 5.3 points and 3.5 rebounds per game through 11 outings this year.

Raptors' Patrick Patterson: Scores 16 off the bench Sunday

Patterson scored 16 points (6-9 FG, 4-5 3Pt) with three rebounds in 24 minutes off the bench during Sunday's win over the Bucks. After struggling in the preseason and losing the starting power forward spot to Luis Scola, Patterson has looked great as a stretch four on the Raptors second unit to begin the regular season, going 8-for-15 from beyond the arc. His minutes and upside are limited in that role, but if he continues playing well he could supplant Scola in the starting lineup.

Raptors' Patrick Patterson: Hits two three-pointers Wednesday

Patterson played 19 minutes off the bench Wednesday, scoring eight points with four rebounds, two three-pointers, an assist and a steal. He split court time roughly equally with Luis Scola at power forward but put up a better stat line, and if that trend continues Patterson could work his way into the starting five. He has a little fantasy upside as a stretch four if he can get consistent minutes, but at the moment there's no reason to have Patterson on your roster.
