Hamady Ndiaye plays 25 minutes vs. Grizzlies

Entering the game with just four minutes played in three games this sesaon, Kings center Hamady Ndiaye played 25 minutes in Sunday's 97-86 loss to the Grizzlies, scoring two points and recording six rebounds, one assist and one block. The Kings were without forward Chuck Hayes for much of the game while he underwent concussion testing, giving Ndiaye his highest usage rate by far this season.

    • Ndiaye back in D-League

News: Center Hamady Ndiayesigned a contract to play in the NBA development league on Thursday, reports Ridiculous Upside.com. Ndiaye appeared in three games for the Wizards earlier this season before being released.
Analysis: Ndiaye just clear waivers before he finds out his new team, which most likely be until Monday. The 24-year-old never really got a chance to catch on in Washington and now is trying to get back in the NBA. However, his chances of doing so remain slim and even if he does, he likely won't be in a position to make much of a Fantasy impact. Continue to ignore Ndiaye in all formats at this time.
    • Ndiaye waived by Wizards

News: The Wizards released C Hamady Ndiaye the team announced on Tuesday. Ndiaye appeared in three games for the Wizards this season and appeared in 10 games for the Iowa Energy of the NBA Development League.
Analysis: Ndiaye never really got a chance to prove himself in Washington and will now try and catch on somewhere else. However, even if he does, he likely won't be worth owning in Fantasy anyway.
    • Wizards recall C Ndiaye

News: The Wizards recalled C Hamady Ndiaye from the D-League on Monday. Ndiaye was recalled from the Iowa Energy.
Analysis: Ndiaye averaged 5.0 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.1 blocks in 10 games and three starts for the Energy. Those aren't even solid numbers for the D-League. Ndiaye has no Fantasy value at this time.
    • Wizards ink C Ndiaye

News: Washington re-signed C Hamady Ndiaye on Sunday. Ndiaye played 16 games last season for the Wizards and averaged five minutes per game.
Analysis: The 7-foot Ndiaye is a product out of Rutgers and Senegal. The 24-year-old did some mop-up work for the Wizards last year and his role this year isn't expanded to expand much. Ndiaye has low-end Fantasy value and is not worth taking in Fantasy drafts.
    • Ndiaye active once again

News: Despite previously being ruled out for the season with a knee injury, Wizards center Hamady Ndiaye was active for Monday's 95-94 win over the Celtics. However, he did not enter the contest and was listed as DNP-coaches decision on the box score.
Analysis: Ndiaye was likely made active just in case Washington needed another big body, but he didn't even see the court. That will likely be the case once again in Wednesday's season finale, so Fantasy owners can continue to ignore the 24-year-old in all formats heading into next season. He averaged t 0.9 points and 0.4 rebounds in 15 games this year.
    • Ndiaye active Monday night

News: Despite previously being ruled out for the season with a knee injury, the Washington Post reports that Wizards C Hamady Ndiaye will play in Monday's game against the Celtics. He missed the previous five outings with the injury.
Analysis: Ndiaye has seen some minimal playing time this season, averaging just 0.9 points and 0.4 rebounds per game this season. Even if he plays more than originally expected, we don't recommend utilizing the Rutgers product in any Fantasy format moving forward.
    • Ndiaye on shelf for year

News: Coach Flip Saunders said Tuesday that the six injured players on his roster will not return for the final half-dozen games, Hamady Ndiaye, being one of them. Ndiaye strained a tendon in his left knee during warmups on Sunday at Charlotte.
Analysis: Ndiaye should not be owned in any Fantasy league at this time, as he has no value for the remainder of the season. He saw action in 15 games this year for the Wizards, but averaged just under five minutes per outing. The rookie out of Rutgers was used sparingly to say the least, which didn't give him the opportunity to produce. He's got some work to do during the offseason if he wants to move up the depth chart. Ndiaye is not a player to target on Draft Day in the fall.
    • Ndiaye could miss rest of year

News: The Wizards report Tuesday that coach Flip Saunders said center Hamady Ndiaye could miss the rest of the season with a knee injury. Ndiaye injured his knee prior to Sunday's game against the Bobcats.
Analysis: Ndiaye has minimal Fantasy value even when healthy. Even if he does return this season he would not be worth using in the majority of leagues.
