Raptors' Bismack Biyombo: Delivers double-double Wednesday

Biyombo recorded 11 points (4-5 FG, 3-7 FT) and 12 rebounds in 33 minutes during the Raptors' 103-99 win versus the Cavaliers on Wednesday. Biyombo isn't likely to consistently pump out double-doubles, but while Jonas Valanciunas is out, Biyombo is the only true center the Raptors have on the roster. Biyombo is a solid defender who will likely provide decent rebounding and some blocked shots, but don't expect much else on most nights.

Raptors' Bismack Biyombo: 14 boards in Sunday's start

Biyombo scored six points (3-5 FG) with a team-high 14 rebounds in 31 minutes during Sunday's win over the Clippers. Getting the start at center in place of the injured Jonas Valanciunas (finger), Biyombo provided the Raptors with energy on the glass, and four of his boards came on the offensive end. He won't supply much more than the occasional put-back offensively, and Toronto's defensive scheme doesn't lead to big block totals, but he should be useful in deeper leagues while Valanciunas is sidelined if you need rebounding help.

Raptors' Bismack Biyombo: In the starting lineup Sunday

Biyombo will start at center in Sunday's game against the Clippers, Dan Woike of the Orange County Register reports. With Jonas Valanciunas set to miss around six weeks of action, Biyombo will get the first crack at running with the starters. Biyombo has played in 14 games so far this season, posting averages of 4.4 points, 5.8 rebounds and 0.9 blocks over 17 minutes. He should see a slight increase in minutes with Valanciunas sidelined.

Raptors' Bismack Biyombo: Double-double off the bench Wednesday

Biyombo scored 10 points (3-8 FG, 4-4 FT) with 10 rebounds and three blocks in 21 minutes off the bench during Wednesday's win over the 76ers. It's his first double-double and best performance as a shot-blocker this season, but playing the woeful Sixers can have that effect on a player's stat line. Biyombo is averaging 5.2 points, 6.4 boards and 1.2 blocks in 16.9 minutes through nine games as a Raptor.

Raptors' Bismack Biyombo: Fouls out Wednesday

Biyombo played 16 minutes off the bench before fouling out of his Raptors debut Wednesday, scoring seven points (3-6 FG, 1-1 FT) with five rebounds and a block. His per-minute production was solid, but with Jonas Valanciunas having a huge game in the starting lineup, Biyombo's court time and fantasy value figure to be limited this season.

Raptors' Bismack Biyombo: Scored 10 in preseason loss

Biyombo provided 10 points (3-4 FG, 4-6 FT), six rebounds, and a block in an 89-87 loss to the Timberwolves on Wednesday. Biyombo will play almost an identical role that he played to Charlotte, as the primary backup for Jonas Valamciunas. He averaged 4.8 points 6.4 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks in 19 minutes a game last season and should have very similar numbers this year.
