Knicks' Lance Thomas: Sidelined through at least Tuesday

Thomas (concussion) will remain sidelined through at least Tuesday's game against the Wizards, Al Iannazzone of Newsday reports. After experiencing concussion symptoms following the Feb. 4 game against the Pistons, Thomas was subsequently ruled out for Friday's tilt with the Grizzlies and Sunday's showdown with the Nuggets. The Knicks seem to be optimistic that Thomas' absence won't extend much further beyond that, but because head injuries tend to have volatile timetables, it's difficult to count on him being available by Tuesday. He remains under the NBA's concussion protocol and will continue to have his condition evaluated on a day-to-day basis by team doctors.

Knicks' Lance Thomas: Out for Friday

Thomas has been ruled out of Friday's mathcup against the Grizzlies with a concussion, Chris Herring of The Wall Street Journal reports. Thomas is dealing with mild concussions symptoms and will spend Friday night on the bench. The severity of the symptoms is relatively unknown, with Sunday being his next opportunity to return to the court. Look for Derrick Williams to see more minutes off the bench as a result.

Knicks' Lance Thomas: Scores seven points while making second straight start

Thomas provided seven points (3-6 FG, 1-1 FT), two rebounds, and one block over 25 minutes in Thursday's 103-93 loss to the Raptors. Thomas was making a second straight start in place of the ailing Carmelo Anthony (knee), but he failed to build on the 16-point performance he provided in Tuesday's loss to the Thunder. Anthony is hopeful that he'll return to the lineup for the second half of the Knicks' back-to-back set Friday against the Suns, so Thomas could be headed back to his usual low-usage role off the bench in short order.

Knicks' Lance Thomas: In the starting lineup Thursday

Thomas is in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Raptors, Doug Smith of the Star reports. Thomas will get a second straight start, as the Knicks continue to hold Carmelo Anthony out to rest a sore left knee. In Tuesday's game against the Thunder, Thomas recorded 16 points and four rebounds over a whopping 41 minutes, so with both Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis (illness) sidelined on Thursday, Thomas will again be in line to receive a ton of minutes in the frontcourt.

Knicks' Lance Thomas: Scores 16 points in 41 minutes Tuesday

Thomas (knee) tallied 16 points (5-7 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 5-7 FT), four rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one block in 41 minutes during the Knicks' 128-122 overtime loss against the Thunder on Tuesday. Thomas missed the last three games, but he earned the start with Carmelo Anthony sitting to rest a sore knee on Tuesday. Though Thomas fouled out, he played very well versus a stout Thunder squad. He isn't worth a look in standard-sized leagues, but Thomas' game is much improved this season.

Knicks' Lance Thomas: Ruled out for Saturday

Thomas (knee) will not play Saturday, Ian Begley of ESPN New York reports. Saturday marks Thomas' third consecutive missed game as a result of a bruised knee. Without Thomas, the Knicks' perimeter defense will be tested Saturday against the Hornets. Arron Afflalo could slide to small forward Saturday or Derrick Williams could potentially see some added playing time in Thomas' absence.

Knicks' Lance Thomas: Questionable to play Saturday

Thomas (knee) is questionable to play Saturday versus the Hornets, Marc Berman of the New York Post reports. Thomas has missed the previous two games for New York, and it sounds like he will be a true game-time decision Saturday. If he cannot go, Derrick Williams should continue seeing an increased role in the rotation. Expect an update on his status closer to tip-off.

Knicks' Lance Thomas: Sitting out vs. Clips

Thomas (knee) will sit out again Friday against the Clippers, Ian Begley of ESPN New York reports. Thomas will sit out a second straight game after missing Wednesday's 118-111 win over the Jazz. As a result, Derrick Williams, who scored 18 points in 28 minutes Wednesday, should be expected to see an increased role.

    Knicks' Lance Thomas: Sidelined Wednesday

Thomas (knee) won't play Wednesday against the Jazz. Thomas is dealing with a bruised left knee, which will force his first absence of the season. The Knicks will likely turn to Derrick Williams and Kyle O'Quinn to fill Thomas' spot in the forward rotation.
