Raptors' Terrence Ross: Provides spark off bench versus Pistons

Ross came off the bench to score 18 points (7-13 FG, 4-6 3Pt) while securing four rebounds, dishing a pair of assists and adding two steals in 29 minutes of Monday's win over the Pistons. Norman Powell got the start for Toronto, but it was Ross who provided the spark off the bench and saw 13 minutes more of playing time. Ross has now scored in double-figures in four straight after back-to-back quiet outings, and he has averaged a steal per game and a useful 1.8 treys as well. However, Ross remains a peripheral option on a strong Raptors team, and performances such as Monday's are far closer to his ceiling for production than they are to his floor.

Raptors' Terrence Ross: Scores 16 points off bench

Ross tallied 16 points (6-11 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three boards, one assist, and one steal across 27 minutes in Tuesday's 104-97 win over the Suns. Norman Powell ended up entering the starting lineup with James Johnson (ankle) sidelined, but Ross vastly outperformed him and should retain far more fantasy value even while he continues to serve as the Raptors' sixth man. Ross has knocked down at least one three-pointer in nine straight games and is averaging 12.4 points, 2.4 rebounds, 2.3 three-pointers, one steal, and 0.9 assists over 26.2 minutes during that span while shooting 55.4 percent from the field and 46.7 percent from downtown.

Raptors' Terrence Ross: Scores 12 points in 27 minutes Monday

Ross had 12 points (5-10 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds, and one steal in 27 minutes during the Raptors' 112-93 loss to the Nuggets on Monday. Ross has shot 50 percent or better from the field in nine of his last 11 appearances, scoring in double digits in seven of those contests. He continues to flash serious potential, but the team's 11-game winning streak was finally snapped on Monday. Ross turns 25 on Friday, and his three-and-D abilities will likely earn him fairly heavy minutes going forward until DeMarre Carroll (knee) returns to the lineup.

Raptors' Terrence Ross: Scores 15 off the bench Tuesday

Ross scored 15 points (6-12 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 0-1 FT) while adding two rebounds, an assist and a steal in 31 minutes off the bench during Tuesday's win over the Wizards. He continues to get more court time than James Johnson at small forward, but Raptors coach Dwane Casey seems happy with Ross' performance on the second unit, and with good reason. Ross is now averaging 14.4 points, 3.2 threes, 2.0 boards and 1.2 steals in 27.6 minutes over the last five games, and as long as he's lighting it up from downtown, he should continue to see a substantial workload.

Raptors' Terrence Ross: Scores 18 points, swipes career-high four steals Sunday

Ross had 18 points (6-10 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds, four steals, and two assists in 33 minutes during the Raptors' 112-94 victory versus the Clippers on Sunday. Ross continues to come off the bench behind James Johnson despite DeMarre Carroll's absence with a knee injury. However, Johnson saw only 15 minutes on Sunday, and Ross is much better suited to play small forward since Johnson isn't a threat from the perimeter on offense. Ross' four steals were a career-high, and the five triples he hit matched his season-high. This was the seventh time in 2015-16 he has played 30 or more minutes, with the last time being Dec. 28 against the Bulls. Over the last four games, Ross has made 20 of his 28 field goal attempts while going 13-of-17 from beyond the arc. This type of play is unsustainable, but it's possible he has earned himself more time going forward.

Raptors' Terrence Ross: Scores 13 points Friday

Ross recorded 13 points (4-4 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 3-4 FT), two rebounds, and one assist in 22 minutes during the Raptors' 101-81 win against the Heat on Friday. Ross is averaging 11.4 points, 1.8 threes, 1.2 rebounds, 0.6 assists, 0.4 steals, and 0.4 blocks in 23 minutes per game over the last five. Even with DeMarre Carroll (knee) out, Ross isn't very reliable in fantasy since he doesn't contribute in the other categories outside of scoring and three-pointers.

Raptors' Terrence Ross: Scores 16 off the bench Saturday

Ross scored 16 points (6-10 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT) while adding two rebounds and a steal in 24 minutes off the bench during Saturday's win over the 76ers. The Sixers don't exactly present the toughest challenge, but Ross didn't appear to be hampered at all by the back injury that sent him to the locker room early Friday. He'll get a few days to rest up before the Raptors take on the Magic on Thursday in London.

Raptors' Terrence Ross: Available to play Saturday

Ross (back) will be available for Saturday's game against the 76ers. He left Friday's game with a sore lower back, but it sounds like he will tough it out in the second game of a back-to-back. That said, it would not be surprising if James Johnson saw more playing time than Ross on Saturday, as Ross has been seeing right around 20 minutes per night over his last five games.

Raptors' Terrence Ross: Will not return to Friday's game

Ross will not return to Friday's game against the 76ers due to a sore lower back. Ross exited the game in the second half after 18 minutes of action. He posted seven points and two rebounds during his time on the court. It remains to be seen if he will be able to go Saturday on the second half of the Raptors back-to-back. Expect an update on his status when prior to tip-off.

Raptors' Terrence Ross: Sees 19 minutes Wednesday

Ross recorded three points (1-5 FG, 1-3 3Pt), two rebounds, and one steal in 19 minutes during the Raptors' 91-74 win against the Nets on Wednesday. Ross came off the bench behind James Johnson with DeMarre Carroll (knee) set to undergo surgery. Ross has averaged 6.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.2 steals, 0.4 blocks, and 0.2 assists in 24 minutes per game over the past five contests, and regardless of who starts, he will likely split time at small forward with James Johnson until Carroll is able to return in approximately six to eight weeks. Raptors' coach could opt to run DeMar DeRozan at the three more often, but if not, Bruno Caboclo is the team's only other option at small forward, and he is still a work in progress whose getting a lot of reps in at the D-League.
