Thunder's Dion Waiters: Scores 15 poins in team-high 41 minutes Monday

Waiters recorded 15 points (5-11 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 3-5 FT), four assists, three steals, one rebound, and one block in 41 minutes during the Thunder's 122-106 win against the Suns on Monday. Over the last five games, Waiters is averaging 10.2 points, three rebounds, 2.2 steals, two assists, and 0.4 blocks in 36 minutes per contest. He has seen 32 minutes or more in nine straight appearances, and he continues to start at shooting guard with Andre Roberson (knee) out for at least another couple weeks. Waiters is far from efficient. However, he is providing numbers that are fairly serviceable--especially to those in deeper leagues--and he will likely continue earning heavy minutes until Roberson returns.

Thunder's Dion Waiters: Will start again Wednesday

Waiters will draw another start Wednesday versus the Timberwolves, Alan Horton of WCCO 830 AM reports. Waiter started his first game since Nov. 22 Tuesday, and will draw his second consecutive start Wednesday versus the Timberwolves. Waiters will look to take advantage of the starting opportunity while Andre Roberson is sidelined. He posted 14 points, three rebounds, one assist, and two triples in 43 minutes Tuesday.

Thunder's Dion Waiters: Scores 14 points in season-high 43 minutes Tuesday

Waiters provided 14 points (6-10 FG, 2-3 3Pt), three rebounds, and one assist in 43 minutes during the Thunder's 128-122 overtime win versus the Knicks on Tuesday. Waiters entered the starting lineup with Andre Roberson set to miss at least three weeks due to a sprained knee. This was Waiters' third start of the season, and he played a surprisingly efficient game. He was already seeing 27 minutes per game, so Waiters seems likely to average at least 30 minutes per game while Roberson remains sidelined. However, expecting much outside of scoring is likely to end in disappointment for fantasy owners.

Thunder's Dion Waiters: Enters starting lineup Tuesday

Waiters will start at two-guard in Tuesday's game against the Knicks in New York, Anthony Slater of The Oklahoman reports. After Andre Roberson was given a recovery timetable of at least three weeks due to a right knee sprain, Waiters was the logical candidate to enter the starting five. In two nods this season, Waiters averaged 15.0 points (on 41 percent shooting), 3.0 rebounds, 2.0 steals, 1.5 assists, and 1.0 three-pointer in 30 minutes.

Thunder's Dion Waiters: Scores 13 points in 35 minutes Friday

Waiters had 13 points (5-10 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 0-2 FT), four rebounds, one assist, and one block in 35 minutes during the Thunder's 109-106 win over the Mavericks on Friday. The 24-year-old guard is scoring 12.2 points to go with 1.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.4 blocks in 29 minutes per appearance over the last five match-ups. His scoring is up while everything else besides blocks and minutes are down in comparison to his season averages, and Waiters already offers very little outside of scoring.

Thunder's Dion Waiters: Scores 20 points Friday

Waiters went for 20 points (8-14 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-4 FT), one rebound, one assist, and one steal in 28 minutes during the Thunder's 113-93 win versus the Timberwolves on Friday. Waiters has scored 38 points on 27 shots over the past two Thunder wins. However, both were blowout wins, and Russell Westbrook combined to play 42 minutes during those two outings. As evidenced by Friday, Waiters doesn't provide much besides scoring. He also posts lackluster shooting percentages on most nights, so unless you're desperate for scoring in deeper leagues, Waiters makes for an inefficient fantasy option.

Thunder's Dion Waiters: Comes off bench to score 18 points in victory Wednesday

Waiters scored 18 points (6-13 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 3-5 FT) with five assists and a rebound over 25 minutes in a 108-89 victory over the Mavericks on Wednesday. After Russell Westbrook was ejected in the second quarter, Waiters took advantage of an opportunity for additional minutes, shooting 50 percent from beyond the arc. While Waiters always brings the potential for double-digit scoring performances, he simply isn't receiving enough minutes in coach Billy Donovan's rotation to be considered a fantasy option in most formats.

Thunder's Dion Waiters: Scores 15 points in blowout win

Waiters scored 15 points (6-9 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT) to go with three assists and one rebound across 31 minutes in Wednesday's 112-94 win over the Grizzlies. Though Kevin Durant (toe) was ultimately able to suit up Wednesday, Waiters still saw big minutes with the Thunder building a comfortable lead early on. The added playing time enabled Waiters to score his most points since Dec. 16, when he erupted for 18 against the Trail Blazers. However, with only three double-digit scoring efforts in his last 11 games, Waiters hardly looks like an attractive DFS punt-play option these days.

Thunder's Dion Waiters: Scores only two points Wednesday

Waiters was held to two points (1-8 FG, 0-3 3Pt), one rebound, and one assist over 16 minutes in Wednesday's 120-85 win over the Lakers. On paper, it seemed like the matchup with the Lakers, one of the league's worst defensive units, would position Waiters well for a big game off the bench, but that failed to materialize, largely due to the shooting guard's struggles from the field. Though he's averaging 10.4 points on the season, Waiters has failed to crack double digits in the scoring column in three of the Thunder's last four games.

Thunder's Dion Waiters: Contributes 12 points in 26 minutes

Waiters contributed 12 points (4-8 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 3-3 FT), an assist, and a block in 26 minutes of action against the Grizzlies on Tuesday. Waiters has acted as the sixth man for the Thunder since Kevin Durant returned from a hamstring injury, but his minutes have remained basically the same off the bench as they were when he started. Tuesday also marks the third game in a row that the 24-year-old has put up double-digit points. Even while coming off the bench, Waiters continues to be a consistent scoring source with some upside in the assist and steal department.
