76ers' Tony Wroten: Likely to return in 8-10 days

Wroten (knee) could return to the 76ers' lineup in the next 8-10 days, Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Wroten had previously suggested a Dec. 11 return date against the Pistons, which could turn out to be the case. His minutes will be limited from the get-go, however, as he continues to ease his way back from a torn ACL suffered last January. Wroten's status should be monitored throughout the week to determine his fantasy relevance upon his return.

76ers' Tony Wroten: Appears to be targeting Dec. 11 return

Wroten (knee) seemed to suggest on his personal Twitter account that he was eyeing a Dec. 11 return to the court. "Just wanna help my team. In due time though. My time coming. 12/11," Wroten posted. The 76ers are scheduled to play the Pistons on Dec. 11, which will come on the second half of a back-to-back set. Wroten, who has been rehabbing his knee and participating in practices with the 76ers' D-League affiliate in Delaware, tore the ACL of his right knee last January. Because of the long recovery process, Wroten will more than likely be subjected to limited minutes once he's cleared to return to the 76ers. The Dec. 11 date that Wroten threw out shouldn't be taken as a given for his return date, but it would seem to align with coach Brett Brown's previous suggestion that the point guard will be ready to go by some point in December.

      76ers' Tony Wroten: Playing 5-on-5

Wroten (knee) said Monday that he's recently begun playing 5-on-5 during practices and believes he's "getting closer" to making his season debut, Tom Moore of Calkins Media reports. Although Wroten seems to be making slight progress in his recovery from a torn right ACL, 76ers coach Brett Brown indicated Monday that the team was "still talking the first week of December" as the earliest possible return date for the point guard. Wroten will likely continue to rehab with Delaware, the Sixers' D-League affiliate for the next couple of weeks before potentially making his season debut at some point next month.

76ers' Tony Wroten: Assigned to D-League

Wroten has been assigned to the 87ers of the NBA D-League, Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Wroten has been recovering from a partially torn ACL and isn't expected back until mid December. His shift to the D-League is likely to keep a roster spot open for a healthy player while Wroten recovers, and he will likely be back when he is ready to play or participate in practices.

76ers' Tony Wroten: Takes part in 1-on-1 work

Wroten (knee) took part in some one-on-one activity off to the side during Monday's practice, Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. It's a higher level of activity than expected from Wroten at this juncture in his recovery from a torn ACL, but the Sixers haven't budged from their projected return timeline of December for the point guard. Until he starts taking part in full practices with the rest of the squad, Wroten can't be considered close to a return.

76ers' Tony Wroten: May be out until December

Wroten could be missing from action until December, Keith Pompey of the Philly Inquirer reports. Originally thought to be missing until the end of October, Wroten (Partial ACL tear/surgery) may not be seeing action until December as he rehabs. When healthy, Wroten will battle Isaiah Canaan for the starting point guard role.

76ers guard Tony Wroten out through at least the end of October

76ers guard Tony Wroten (right knee) isn't expected to resume playing until at least the end of October while he continues to recover from a partially torn ACL, Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Wroten sustained the knee injury in late January, which spelled an end to his past season when he went under the knife for surgery. The point guard hasn't hit any huge snags in his recovery, but the lengthy rehab period will likely knock him out for the start of the 2015-16 campaign. Once healthy, Wroten, along with Kendall Marshall, who is also rehabbing a torn ACL, figure to push Isaiah Canaan for the starting role at the point.

76ers unsure when Tony Wroten will return

76ers guard Tony Wroten is still without a return timeline, Tom Moore of Calkins Media reports. Wroten tore his ACL in January but noted that his rehab is going well and he expects to return at some point during the 2015-16 season. "Rehab is going great," Wroten said. "I want to be able to play and not worry about it." That last sentence would seem to imply that Wroten will not be rushing back, and with the Sixers likely to be out of the playoff race early in the year, the team doesn't have much of an incentive to expedite his return.

76ers coach Brett Brown: Tony Wroten 'on track, doing well'

76ers coach Brett Brown said guard Tony Wroten's rehab on his right knee is on schedule, but his return is not imminent, according to "No great news," Brown said. "No new news, just on track, doing well ... We are getting more organized with him. But he's in great spirits and we look forward to welcoming him back. That will be not for a long time." Initially reported as a sprained knee, Wroten partially tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee against the Hawks on Jan. 13. Wroten remains the Sixers' leading scorer at 16.9 points per game.
